Time to Unpack

Ooooh, I dream of the day when I no longer see clutter and boxes. The POD arrived the day after we got here early and with no problems. The delivery guy had no problem putting it down on the ground even though Boulder doesn't allow it. He even came back later that day to get the empty POD so that we wouldn't inconvenience the neighbors. I can't say enough good things about PODs and would recommend it to anyone!
We filled this thing so tight that the door almost didn't open! With some fidgeting and strategic removal of items, we finally got the door up.

Thankfully, we found a couple of guys on Craigslist to come and help us move things in and were amazingly done in a little over an hour! Someone kept flagging and removing my post for a "labor gig" so we were really lucky that these two guys each replied to my post within about 5 minutes of it going up.

While moving in, we had our first visitor from DC! My wedding vendor friend, photographer Jay Premack, was in town vacationing and so swung by our new place to say hi and to grab lunch. It was great to see him!

And so now the unpacking begins. I made really great progress on Friday, while Brandon was down in Denver meeting with a recruiter. Hopefully soon I'll be able to post some "after" pictures of our beautifully decorated house.

Blue Bear LOVES sitting out back in the sun in his new backyard. We are beginning to think that we may have created a monster because now from the first minute he wakes up until bedtime he is asking us to play frisbee. It's great... we can just leave the kitchen door open all day and he goes in and out on his own. It'd be great to have a doggie door.

Another thing he loves is the huge 27-foot window in the front of the house. We have an entrance to the trails right in our cul-de-sac so we get a lot of foot traffic and bike traffic. Blue Bear loves to sit in the sun watching all of the people.

And finally.... here is Brandon showing off the Flat Irons. This picture is taken just 2 houses down from our house. We've got an amazing view! We hope this convinces everyone to come visit SOON!!!! If not this picture... then just wait for the next blog post :) It gets even better...
